Welcome to St. Andrew's Church Website

This site aims to serve the Parishes of St. Andrew's, Ashburton, together with St. Mary the Virgin, Bickington and St. Peter's, Buckland in the Moor. The site is a new adventure for us and we hope you will enjoy wandering around it. Being brand new, it is of course a work in progress and we are continuing to build its contents in the hope of making it of real value to everyone, both in our local communities and to everyone who enters.

Our benefice of South Dartmoor includes not only these three churches but also the Moorland Parishes of St. Mary the Virgin, Holne / St. Raphael, Huccaby / St. John the Baptist, Leusdon / St. Gabriel, Postbridge and St. Pancras, Widecombe in the Moor. You will find some information here regarding these parishes and in time we hope to expand this website to include direct links to them.

As part of our service to the communities in which we live you will find the website is full of information about our area as well as other useful resources such as: weather, education, computer know-how, eco living, travel, health, what's on, tourism and leisure. You will find easy access ( 3 to 4 clicks) to most local and global information important to your personal and working life.

We are delighted to announce that our new Incumbent, The Revd. David Sherwood is now Licenced and Installed and that he and Lizzie and their family are now in residence in the Vicarage in Ashburton.

Please would you pray for David and his family in their new undertaking. . Pray especially that God will lead and inspire David as he starts his work and life amonst us. Pray that we may offer the Sherwoods every welcome and help as we continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in this benefice.
